Psalm 133 and A Floral Explosion

Psalm 133

It looks as if today’s reading is only three verses. I went back to the original document and, sure enough, that’s all we have to read.

This Psalm of David is another for the pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem, the topic of which is how wonderful it is when brothers live together in harmony.

Have you ever lived in a family or known of a family where the members of that family don’t get along? David had a bunch of brothers and he was the youngest, but I don’t think he was referring to his actual brothers, but to all of those around him. He speaks of the harmony among brothers being as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head and as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountain of Zion.

He also speaks of the Lord pronouncing His blessing on the mountain of Zion, that blessing being life everlasting.

Tomorrow, it’s Psalm 106 - 107.
