Went to AMC Theater today and saw the movie Parker starring Jason Statham, Jennifer Lopez, and Nick Nolte. It was an action-filled film with lots of blood and violence from people who didn’t have the least bit of humanity or a respect for life.
I remarked to Karen how interesting it was that it didn’t take long to start cheering one of the criminals over this other. This bad guy, played by Jason Statham, had a code of honor that you almost had to respect.
One must wonder how much effect watching all of this gruesomeness and violence must have on people, especially on young children.
We don’t seem to value life at all and this just confirms that.
We had a great lunch afterward at Genghis Grill.
I had put meat loaf in my crock pot before leaving for the movie. This accompanied by corn on the cob and a baked sweet potato made a great dinner.
